Echovald Forest
Mourning Veil Falls
June 23, 2010
Today I am joined by six adventurers: Solorian, Catfish, Xia, Vengance, Cver and Claire on my exploration of the last Kurzick area. We met at the Durheim Archives, home to the most renowned scholars and historians the Echovald Forest has to offer. Not that I am able to ask any questions of them, because I am not a true Kurzick. Perhaps if I became their champion or saviour they would reveal some ancient lore to me.

Morostav Trail
June 22, 2010
It was late in the day when I met up with my friends Solorian and Claire to explore Morostav Trail. As we entered this area, we spotted all the familiar things in the Echovald Forest: stone trees, mushrooms, and moss growing everywhere. Unfortunately this is where the typical adventurer would lose interest in exploring and continue on their way to the next outpost. Unless you are a cartographer, most people miss finding interesting things when they travel because they just don’t take the time to look around.

The Eternal Grove
June 21, 2010
Vasburg Armory is a beautiful and well designed outpost. It even has a huge golden statue of the god Balthazar. However it has one flaw, the only Xunlai vault boxes are located on the other side. So when I had to travel out of my way to get a few things from storage, it really surprised me to go back to the center of the outpost and see Catfish, Xia, Vengance, Solorian, Cver, and Claire eagerly waiting to help me. I’m not sure what motivated all of them to accompany me. Perhaps the haunting melody of the tree singers beacons travels to return and visit the Eternal Grove again.

Drazach Thicket
June 20, 2010
Catfish, Cver, Solorian and Xia met with me in Saint Anjeka’s Shrine. This outpost was named after a woman name Anjeka who was slain by a Luxon while promoting peace between the two factions. Her death is one of many reasons why the two sides find it impossible to get along. I could tell that my friends were eager to enter battle, so I wrapped up my history lesson and walked through the shrine’s gate to Drazach Thicket.

Melandru's Hope
June 18, 2010
The very name of this area had me excited. Melandru’s Hope sounds like just the sort of place a ranger would want to explore. So for my adventure today, I waited eagerly in Lutgardis Conservatory for my friends to show up. While I waited there, I spoke with Duke Holtz Lutgardis to find out more about House Lutgardis. Before I could move on from “hello” to “tell me about your people”, he cut me off mid-sentence in a most unusual way. He told me about his family in song! I had no idea anyone could take singing so seriously as to prefer it over speaking normally. But with a voice like that, I can understand why. His house is responsible for the forever trees; trees that can change a Kurzick into a juggernaught. For centuries, the Lutgardis house have devoted themselves to song and the creation of wondrous musical instruments.
When he finished, I nodded my head nervously and waved goodbye as I walked away and joined my friends Catfish, Xia, Bjorne, Solorian, and Cver .

Ferndale
June 17, 2010
Leaving from the Kurzick capital, House zu Heltzer with my friends Catfish J., Solorian D., Xia H.D., Meldon M., and Cver D, we stepped out into Ferndale. Immediately we were attacked by a group of mantids. After we finished them off, we encountered another group of them. Unfortunately we were under the umbrella of a mushroom and were caught in it’s spores, which made fighting the mantids even more difficult. As you can see, enormous mushrooms are all over ferndale.

Arborstone
June 15, 2010
Not too long ago, Danika led me into Arborstone to retrieve the Urn of Saint Viktor in order to defeat Shiro at Sunjiang District. This area houses a giant cathedral that is no longer used very much due to the monster population. As a non-Kurzick, I can only assume this must be a devastating loss for their culture because they are very religious. Once peaceful wardens now fill the cathedral and attack all humans on sight. Before the Jade Wind hit the Echovald Forest, these wardens were actually passive and acted as guardians of the forest spirit. Since all the trees have been turned to stone, this forest spirit has been wounded and perhaps gone a bit crazy. Today Catfish J., S. Fangastic, Celtic E., Tico C., and Pulviose T.R. will be helping me explore my first Kurzick area.
