Rragar's Menagerie

Threats to Pyre’s warband seem to be a daily occurrence, but today Gron Fiercelaw brought something important to my attention. Their enemy Rragar Maneater has been developing a new type of monster called fleshreavers to unleash on our charr and human allies. So Malory and I set out to the southwest corner of Sacnoth Valley, and entered into Rragar’s Menagerie.

Catacombs of Kathandrax

Malory and I had to travel through the burning forest of Sacnoth Valley to reach our next task in the Depths of Tyria. Under Captain Langmar’s orders, Swithin Nye and his company were ordered to retrieve a great dwarven weapon: Kathandrax’s Crusher. He wasn’t too specific about why they needed it, but I was assured that it would be a great service to the Ebon Vanguard. His group failed when they were attacked by charr, so it was up to us to get the job done.

Cathedral of Flames

It seems that Pyre’s warband in Doomlore Shrine not only has problems with the shaman caste, but also from another threat underneath their outpost. The caverns just below where Gron Fierceclaw trades with allies, are home to an army of restless spirits lead by the ghost Murakai, Lady of the Night. Gron tasked Malory and I with getting rid of their problem. Of course they wouldn’t have this problem if they hadn’t brought back Ascalonian relics to this underground Cathedral of Flames. But I have a choice to help our new charr allies or watch as they are assaulted by ghosts and other charr.

Ooze Pit

Pyre’s warband relies heavily on siege devourers to protect Doomlore Shrine. Now that they’re running low on explosive gelatinous ammunition, Elwin and I were hired to delve deep into the Ooze Pit and retrieve special prismatic ooze. The charr, Seer Fiercereign didn’t seem to think two humans could pull off the mission but pointed us in the right direction because he’d still rather not do it himself.

Sacnoth Valley

Just getting to Sacnoth Valley is an adventure in itself. Elwin, Elena, Xiara and I had to pass through all of Dalada Uplands to reach our destination. The trouble is definitely worth it, because just like the other Charr Homeland areas, Sacnoth Valley is beautiful. Even as we entered the area and spotted what is left of the charr stronghold, my eyes were more focused on the flowers at my feet.

Dalada Uplands

Deep into charr territory, we continued to help Pyre in order to find the missing Ebon Vanguards. By freeing his warband and learning how to use siege devourers, we’ve gained valuable allies against the upcoming assault on the stronghold. While the final preparations for battle are being worked on, Elwin, Elena and I set out from Doomlore Shrine to explore the Dalada Uplands.

Grothmar Wardowns

Back when I first visited the Eye of the North I was tasked with locating allies for the upcoming battle against the destroyers. In order to gain the Ebon Vanguard’s help, I first have to locate their missing unit. So after helping the norn and gaining their trust, I headed east to the Charr Homelands.

Due to the circumstances leading me here, It was easy to gain the help of two Ascalonian elementalists to explore Grothmar Wardowns with me. According to them, this is what Ascalon looked like before the Searing. I’ve already been through here once briefly to investigate the missing Ebon Vanguards. Now I’ll be fully exploring this area along with my friends Elwin and Elena.
