Icedome
March 31, 2010 Category: Southern Shiverpeaks
Icedome is a small area tucked between Talus Chute and Frozen Forest that adventurers rarely visit. In order to reach this destination, I traveled from the outpost of Ice Caves of Sorrow with my friends Bonke, Forbidden V., and B. Angela At first I wanted to go right through the Imps and Ice Golems, but Bonke persuaded me to take a quicker and easier route through some Avicara.
Upon entering Icedome, we noticed some Dwarven houses. This is likely a Stone Summit town?

Talus Chute
March 22, 2010 Category: Southern Shiverpeaks
The Shiverpeaks pose a danger to all those that dare to make their way through it. Adventurers are never truly safe here unless they can find shelter within a Dwarven outpost. This might seem to be a “no-brainer”, but I have heard of some stories of fools wandering into the wrong Dwarven camp! Stone Summit and Deldrimor Dwarves treat humans completely different. As I mentioned earlier in the Northern Shiverpeaks, the Stone Summit hate all other races. They even hate their own brethren, the Deldrimor Dwarves, because they interact with humans.
Preparing for a long and exhausting journey ahead of me, I asked a few friends (and guild members) to accompany me into Talus Chute. And so Bonke, Forbidden V., and Adi joined my party.

Witman's Folly
March 17, 2010 Category: Southern Shiverpeaks
It’s so nice to finally be in the Southern Shiverpeaks, The Crystal Desert is not the worst place to visit, but I prefer cooler weather.
I left from the busy shipping outpost of Port Sledge to explore Witman’s Folly with my good friend Erolin and three new friends: Bonke the Paragon, Akela the Elementalist, and Nijntje the Dervish.
Whitman’s Folly may even be a tribute to Marshall Whitman (although they left an H out). Along with his friend Marshall Tasca, they are known as legendary explorers of Tyria. I’ve even heard rumors that you can still find M. Whitman deep within Sorrow’s Furnace. Unfortunately, it is well known that M. Tasca is dead though.

Diviner's Ascent

I’ve finally made my way to the last area in the Crystal Desert that I can fully explore. Leaving from the outpost of Elona Reach, I set out into Diviner’s Ascent with my two friends Erolin and Nox. The first thing I noticed was the long stretches of sand and hardly any monsters. It gives the impression that survival is difficult here.

Salt Flats
March 06, 2010 Category: Crystal Desert
Most travelers coming to the desert know of the best routes to use in order to avoid some of the nastier monsters here. To my knowledge, most people try and avoid the Salt Flats due to its high monster population of stormkin. These tentacled fiends love to interrupt not only spellcasters but also anyone that attacks!
Lately it has been relatively easy to find help during my expeditions, but for this area only miss Erolin was available. To be honest, it is nice that my long term friend is coming with me. I would feel bad bringing a new found friend into such a treacherous area.

The Scar

Over a millennia ago, a river flowed through Destiny’s Gorge all the way to Thirsty River. Now all that remains is a shallow pool of water and the steep rocky hills. I find it hard to believe that the entire Crystal Desert used to be known as the Crystal Sea, because it is such a dramatic difference.
Since this is one of the more enjoyable areas of the Crystal Desert, I found it easy to get my friends involved. My two new friends Brother E. and D.R. Kalira, as well as Nox.
