Cliffs of Dohjok
July 25, 2010 Category: Istan
On a particularly hot day I waited patiently in Champion’s Dawn for my friends. No one showed up so I can only imagine that they were preoccupied with keeping themselves cool. I have experienced the different extremes of temperature in Tyria, the Southern Shiverpeaks and the Crystal Desert. Putting up with one scorching day does not feel so bad when you have plenty of water (and henchmen willing to carry it!) Even though I am not receiving any help from adventurers, Dunkoro is still at my side to help me explore Istan.

Bearers of Bad News
July 16, 2010 Category: War in Kryta
While keeping up with current events after the war, I learned that the Ebon Falcons were going to the Eye of the North today. Curious to see if they had any news of Captain Langmar and Lieutenant Thackeray, I waited for them in the Hall of Monuments. Not long before I reached the spot where Gwen stood, I turned around and saw Dian Fermati, Koro Sagewind, Lawrence Crafton and Nola Sheppard.

Churrhir Fields
July 16, 2010 Category: Istan
Churrhir Fields is hardly a challenge to explore, but it still interests me nonetheless. On Istan, new sunspear recruits are trained here. The equipment is similar to what is available on the Isle of the Nameless (Battle Isles). I was surprised to find so many profession trainers here. Learning the ways of the ranger had me traveling all over the Shing Jea Island. Here you only need to visit one area.

Plains of Jarin
July 14, 2010 Category: Istan
Today I find myself in Elona, Land of the Golden Sun, to help the sunspears drive evil out of their land. Spearmarshal Kormir has sent word to Tyria and Cantha that adventurers are needed once again. I can’t turn down an offer to fight for a good cause and it lets me finally get a chance to explore Elona. On my arrival to the capital of Istan: Kamadan, I was shocked at how many people crowded this city. At first I thought that these adventurers had come to fight in the war, but they mostly seem concerned about trading goods. It seems like a great place because everyones interest is directed here, but trying to sell or buy stuff can be difficult because the noise of others drowns out your requests. Moving onto business, I invited Catfish and Cver to help me explore the Plains of Jarin. Although before leaving I asked my new friend Dunkoro to come along. He is a sunspear “hero” monk, and I’ve found him to be more knowledgable with healing magic than Alesia. He has agreed to serve as our guide through Istan because we could not find any Elonian adventurers to escort us.

The Battle for Lion's Arch
July 10, 2010 Category: War in Kryta
By the time Salma and her advisors had planned what to do during the attack, night had fallen. When the time was right, she asked me to speak with Firstwatch Sergio to open the front gates and confront our enemies.

Mustering a Response
July 10, 2010 Category: War in Kryta
On a typical hot and humid day in Kryta, I came to see Princess Salma to see if she had any tasks for me. Dinas rushed past me. I could tell by the way he stood and the deep breaths that he took in, that he bore bad news. Apparently the White Mantle have been massing a huge army in Demetra, and are headed for Lion’s Arch with the intention of killing Salma. Needless to say, I offered my support and was sent on a mission to alert all of our allies that we needed help quickly. I noticed that my friend Solorian was in Lion’s Arch and brought him along on my urgent mission.

Tomb of the Primeval Kings
July 09, 2010 Category: The Mists
I was very surprised to find out that the Tomb of the Primeval Kings in the Crystal Desert, had been overtaken by an unknown force. This is the site where ancient Elonians buried their kings. Adventurers came here because of a portal that leads to the Hall of Heroes, where they fought against other adventurers to gain glory and the favor of the gods. Luckily, even though the portal to the Hall of Heroes at the tombs has been corrupted, the Zaishen Order have found a new portal to the Hall of Heroes. Although I am much more interested in finding out what happened to this area. So I gathered my friends Catfish, Xia, Cver and Zetta to help me explore what has befallen this portion of the Mists.
Commander Kuro who was standing by the portal, stopped us on our way in. He pleaded with us to defeat the evil that lies within, but that if we were just foolish adventurers we should head back. Our foes are strong and have a deep hunger for human flesh. If we are to defeat them we must have a plan of action and to keep our eyes sharp. With this warning we gathered around one of the campfires still lit in the outpost and discussed how best to take on our next challenge. At first we were not sure what to plan for, so I decided to retell the story of Lord Ordan while we gave our plan more thought.
Long ago, a powerful mage named Lord Ordan managed to uncover a way to gain access to the Mists. His studies on temporal distortions led him to find a special spot known as the Rift, a place where time stands still and where you must go if you wish to explore the Mists. You can think of it like a gateway. At the center of the Rift, Lord Ordan found a way into the Hall of Heroes. This is where the spirits of champions reside, and until the mage arrived only the undead could go there. It’s not surprising that these spirits were furious with a mortal running around. At first the spirits, who had long been dead were not able to harm their intruder. Over time though, they managed to find new ways to harm the living and killed him. When they thought that all of their troubles were over, the magic he used to hide the portals that lead into the Rift failed. These portals which were placed in very hard to reach places, if found, could be accessed by anyone. With the increase of heroes seeking to end the evils of Tyria and gain glory, a flood of people have entered the Hall of Heroes as of late. It used to be that ascension was a big deal, but now there is an influx of mighty heroes that can achieve this if they set their mind to it.
With what I said, we decided on the final details of our plan and headed into the ominous looking black portal.

Raisu Palace
July 01, 2010 Category: Kaineng City
It was quite a devastating blow to watch Shiro kill Master Togo. Even after we revenged Togo and sent Shiro back to the Underworld, I felt uneasy. So I asked my friends Solorian, Catfish, and Vengance to help me clear out Raisu Palace. Kunnavang greeted us when we arrived and offered us the same celestial skills that we used at Imperial Sanctum to defeat Shiro. We accepted the offer and continued on our way to clear all of the Shiro’ken out of the Emperor’s grounds.

Raisu Pavilion
July 01, 2010 Category: Kaineng City
When I first told my friends that I was going to Raisu Pavilion, they offered to come because they wanted to voice some concerns. In the pavilion you can speak with the Emperor’s Hand and a few ministry officials. I knew their intentions were good, but that they would probably be hurling insults by the end of the conversation. So I planned my trip without notifying anyone.
